There are many extracurricular activities here on campus for students to join. Students have the opportunity to learn new skills and hobbies and meet other friends who have similar interests. Join today!
The Harmon Elementary Student Council includes members from the 4th - 6th grade. Each grade has two class representatives that inform their class on student council sponsored events, spirit days, and fundraisers.
NEHS is a club that provides 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to give back to the community, work on service projects on campus and in the district, this creates a community of leaders on campus. These students maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Battle of the Books
All fifth and sixth graders are invited to join the Battle of the Books club. Our BOB club meets at least once each week at lunchtime to discuss the books we are reading. Students read four books each quarter for three quarters. A competition is held after each intersession break with questions about the four books from the previous quarter. Students that sign-up must stay on their three-member team for all three quarters.
After School Enrichment
Studies have shown that involving our children in extracurricular activities can raise their self-esteem and build self-confidence in social settings. There is the added bonus of keeping their young minds stimulated and their hands occupied with productive activities. We are excited to be offering a variety of enrichment classes.
We look forward to many more opportunities to partner with our enrichment class vendors in the 2017-2018 school year. Enjoy your summer.
Our goal is to create camp programs that reflect our commitment to providing high standards for quality within a nurturing, friendly, and safe environment. Quality enrichment programs offer an extraordinary opportunity to encourage students to build on their classroom experiences, expand their horizons, and have fun. Our dedicated and caring staff can provide critical links to curriculum, help kids master new skills, get excited about learning, and develop a sense of belonging.
