News & Events

When it comes to helping your child be successful at school, communication is half the battle. Please visit this page often for the latest happenings at Jack Harmon Elementary School. You'll find out about holidays, teacher conferences, field trip dates, fundraisers, and more. Be sure to check it often as we'll update it regularly for you.

Technology News

Harmon Hawks are writing code! Students are using the skills they learned from Hour of Code to create their own programs in Scratch. Through this, program coders use images instead of words to build the computer language.

Technology students spend the first few minutes of each class practicing their keyboarding. Ask them about their "homerow" fingers. Plus, we have had time to explore a few creative and skill practice sites.

Elementary Orchestra Concert

At 1:00 p.m. on May 3, all the elementary orchestra students in our district will be bussed to Combs High School to practice. Some of the Combs High School Orchestra Members will be there to provide mentoring for our elementary students, and some will even perform with us later that evening at 6:00 p.m. Last year the PTO provided pizza and punch for our students. We will send a letter home with more details with requests for chaperones. Please put this event on your calendar and invite friends and relatives; you will not want to miss this!

Combs Kidz Summer Camp

Join us for some summer fun at Ellsworth Elementary! We have weekly themes and field trips to: Peter Piper Pizza, Harkins, laser tag, Sea Life Aquarium, bowling, swimming, and many more! Please register online at our Camp Programs page. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
